We are offering a job to be proud of, a job to deploy all your skills and learn some new ones. The job requires you to do almost every aspect of developing a customer driven application. Deducing the problems of clients from their ramblings, designing solutions for their problems, implement these (from the DB, up to the Javascript and css) and do it all over again.
Luckily you won't be on your own. You will be working with a team of 3 other people! Our Boss who helps you understand the client, and does some code-monky jobs if he has the time, a part time system administrator, and me the guy that also does what you are expected to do.
We are building a social/collaborative platform. Our main tools are Ruby AND Rails (HAML, Sphinx, REST, Rack), (some) front end skills (Jquery and CSS(SASS)), a lot of opinionated and pragmatic discussions, and our macbooks. In our pipeline are some cool things like scaling (vertical and horizontal), more background processing and (a lot) more features. We are always optimizing code (not afraid of rewriting stuff when needed), increasing user experience, and smashing bugs.
So what do we expect from you?
- We expect you to be able to use our tools (or learn very fast) and any relevant experience you have would be great.
- Dedication and motivation to enjoy the job and the technology. (If you don't like a job, you shouldn't do it)
- Communicate your ideas and feelings on the code, the roadmap, the boss's new haircut, and everything else; but leave your ego at the door.
- Do your best.
Oh, and besides the job we'll also give you some cash every month and some other benefits!
