Job Description:
As a Quality Engineer, you are responsible for delivering products in in accordance with specifications and user expectations.
You will execute test plans on new and existing software and hardware and look for defects. You collect the necessary information, analyze, compare with competitor products and search for cause and effect. Your reporting is concise and clear and contains the appropriate level of information, analysis and demonstration in order to assist developers and other quality departments to understand and correct issues. You verify resolved issues raised in bug tracking systems.
When necessary you supervise and train 3rd parties that are involved in the testing processes.
You participate actively in specification reviews , giving technical feedback and making suggestions to optimize functionality. Your knowledge and experience enable you to judge market potential and product usability. Your quality-driven nature motivates you to search continuously for better test methods and optimized test processes.
In a second stage you will also act as a test lead for specific projects. You will create test plans and follow up the executed testing closely. You will cooperate to create test cases for newly introduced functionalities and /or product categories. You will report on quality to management regularly.
Profile:
You have a bachelor degree with a technical background (computer science, engineering,…) and several years’ experience in quality control/assurance.
You have strong computer skills, particularly MS Office.
You are a problem solver with an analytical mind who can analyze problems into components and find out their internal liaison.
You are fluent in English (written and spoken) and you are able to communicate complex technical issues in a clear way.
You have a valid European driving license and you like to travel across Europe (infrequent travel outside Europe).
