Senior Java / Javascript Engineer

Outerthought has a vacant position for a Senior Java(Script) Software Engineer to fulfill the growing demand in our Daisy-, Kauri- and Lily-related services. This is a full-time position for people with demonstrable work experience, though we consider cleverness, skills and motivation more important than the length of your CV. This is a permanent employee position. We require no services from staffing agencies.
Things you do
After learning all there is to know about Daisy, Kauri, Lily – our own products – and the Outerthought way of building web applications, you will be involved in the implementation of Kauri and Lily turn-key projects and also with Kauri product engineering. Technically, you are expected to ‘speak Java’ fluently, and show the ability to learn other skills (Maven, jQuery, Restlet, but also some Cocoon and XSLT probably) quickly.
You have a keen interest in the state of the art of internet development, in content managed websites, in the browser as a platform, in REST-centric web development. You will be in touch with customers and partners directly, so social abilities, communication skills (D/F/E) and having an analytical mindset that is able to translate their requirements into features and solutions are of key importance.
