For expanding our development team in Mechelen in Belgium we are looking for an experienced, talented and motivated .NET developer who is dedicated, innovative, and has a track record of taking initiative. You will be primarily working together with the development team responsible for the Component Content Management System SDL Trisoft.
Roles and Responsibilities
You must be capable of producing design specifications, writing clean and solid code, working with a team, occasionally teaching and advising other engineers, participating in design reviews, and assessing alternative solutions to problems.
Your main responsibilities are the following:
- Develop technical specifications on how features will be implemented on a technical level.
- Develop new features for the SDL Trisoft CCM using Microsoft tools
- Report progress and identify, escalate and remove obstacles that might endanger the agreed release date.
- Share knowledge with peers
- Present new development to the rest of the team
Experience and Personality
- Pro-active and energetic person with innovative drive
- Clear and precise proactive written and oral communication
- Product oriented thinking, preferably experience in working for a product company
- Keeps overview with an eye for detail
- Strong problem solving skills
- Organizational skills
- Ability to work as a team lead
- Preferably holds a university degree in information technology
- Excellent in English and Dutch

- C#.NET, VB.NET, VB6
- XML, DTD, XSD, DITA, IMAP, Catalogs,…
- Microsoft Operating Systems
- Oracle RDBMs and Microsoft SQLServer databases
- Knowledge of JAVA, COM+, ADO, MSMQ, Transactions, ASP.NET , ASP, HTML, XSL/XML, and JavaScript is an advantage
- Knowledge of the internals of Content Management Systems
- Experience with AGILE development methodologies
