You join the specialised team of lead developers on ta-scan.com, a web based Business Intelligence platform in the pharmaceutical industry. Ta-scan.com is an established product that provides crucial business data by means of semantic technology, and provides knowledge and insight to the top pharmaceutical companies globally.

Responsibility

Your job is to optimise, co-design and expand key components of the ta-scan system. You work in close cooperation with the lead design team, to push the product and its development to new limits.

Daily topics are:

- algorithmic challenges in Java
- database design and implementation
- ORM/SQL analysis and tuning

Project dependent topics are:

- handling of geographic information
- handling of healthcare specific data
- data mining and optimization
- semantic analysis, NLP, translation
- web crawling
- document indexing
- linux clustering
- data unification
